Early Education and Musical Training
Silvija Pleše is a Croatian singer born in Zagreb.
She began her musical education in her hometown music school "Blagoje Bersa" focusing on piano and solo singing in class of Klasja Modrusan
During her schooling, she also engaged in acting in : Theatar Tirena- musicle and stage improvisation and Zagreb Youth Theater) and cartoon dubbing (Disney production studio)
Higher Education and Opera Studies
She pursued a degree in solo singing at the Music Academy in Zagreb under the guidance of Martina Gojčeta Silić.
Simultaneously, she finished Teacher education University of Zagreb.
Croatian National Theatre
During her studies, she had the opportunity to perform in various opera productions at the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb, where she achieved significant roles, including the lead role of Dorabella in Mozart's opera "Cosi fan tutte" and the role of the Fox in Janáček's opera "The Cunning Little Vixen."
Achievements in Zagreb
While residing in Zagreb, she performed as a soloist with the renowned Croatian choir "Cantores Sancti Marci."
She received several awards, including the Rector's Awards from the University of Zagreb and the first prize at the international singing competition "Lav Mirski."
International Experience
In 2019, Silvija completed an Erasmus+ internship in Vienna.
She was awarded the "Best of South East" scholarship to further her education and collaborate with the Opera Graz.
She graduated with honors from Kunst Uni Graz under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Antonius Sol.
Roles in Operas and Concerts
Over the next two years, she took on significant roles in operas and concerts.
This included the role of the Modista in the CD production of "Il cappello di paglia di Firenze" by Nino Rota at the Opera Graz.
She also portrayed the lead role of Angelica in Giacomo Puccini's opera "Suor Angelica" in a production by the "Berlin Oper Sommer Academy."
Recent Collaboration
Her most recent collaboration was at the Macedonian State Opera and Ballet, where she performed the role of Cherubino in Mozart's opera "Le nozze di Figaro."
She is currently working as a guest at the Oper Kiel in Germany.

Throughout her education, she worked with numerous professors, including Cheryl Studer, Romualdo Savastano and Kurt Rydl.
